The Colony Club is discreetly elegant, you enter the property down an avenue of Australian pine trees off the south coat road.
Located at Porters, St James, on the famous west coast of Barbados just 40 minutes from the Airport and 20 minutes from the capital of Bridgetown. Shops and a variety of restaurants are situated only 10 minutes away.
Part of the Elegant Hotels Group, luxury and sophistication await you as does good service and attention to detail. This luxury hotel has four freshwater swimming pool lagoons with rock pools, which meander through 7 tropical acres of palm filled gardens facing the Caribbean Sea.
Dinning is a grand affair. Choose between the casual, covered open air Laguna restaurant with its wonderful sea views (breakfast, lunch and dinner) or evening dining in the formal al la carte Orchid Room (children over 12 years). Throughout the day relax at the Sunset Bar, (10am – 12 midnight) and light snacks are served on The Deck from 3pm – 9.30pm daily. The Planters Bar, an intimate cocktail lounge, opens each evening for pre-dinner drinks (open on seasonal basis). Water Taxi for transportation and dine around program with 3 sister Elegant Hotels' west coast properties (weather permitting).
On the beach the watersports centre offers a range of complimentary sports such as windsurfing, Hobie cat sailing, snorkelling, kayaks and water-skiing. One complimentary diving lesson in the pool. There are two floodlit tennis courts, fitness centre and Spa. The Royal Westmoreland Country Club course is a 5 minute taxi ride from Colony Club and guests benefit from our preferred tee time agreement. Internet WIFI (wireless) access in public areas of the Hotel.
Colony Club 96 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites, furnished with whitewashed wooden ceilings, bureaus and rattan rocking chairs. Air conditioned rooms are furnished with a king size or twin beds, mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, TV, telephone, clock radio, room safe, private bathroom with bathrobes, hairdrye, bath and shower. All have either a patio or balcony.
Pool Garden View Room, located around the swimming pools and gardens, sleeps 2 adults and 1 child.
Ocean View Room, with ocean views, sleeps 2 adults and 1 child.
Luxury Poolside Room, larger than the Pool/Garden room, these 20 luxury rooms have a unique feature of direct frontage onto the Lagoon Pool with private steps into the pool, sleeps 2 adults and 1 child.
Junior Suites are larger and feature a sitting area with a sofa bed and a spacious marble bathroom, sleeps to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
One Bedroom Suite There are 4 Ine bedroom suites. These feature a bedroom with a king size four poster bed and a separate living area complete with a pull out sofa bed. Additionally, spacious balconies are adorned with privacy curtains and day beds promoting a leisurely and relaxing experience. Suites comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Child age - 12 years and under. One child stays free sharing with 2 adults. Summmer, kids eats free at Colony Club from 1 July - 30 Sep 2010, when sharing a room with parents on the same meal plan. Half board and full board avaiable.
