Very well established, the Calabash Hotel is a perennial favourite with those appreciate the excellent dinning, attentive service, luxury suite accommodation and a quiet relaxed ambience.
This small Grenada hotel has just 30 luxury suites. Set within 8 acres of well manicured gardens and positioned on a small beach, offering very safe swimming in the sheltered waters of Prickley Bay. Located about 10 minutes from St George’s and is a quiet area with limited attractions outside of the resort. Grand Anse Beach and a selection of shops, banks and restaurants is 5 minutes drive away. Airport transfers take approximately 15 minutes.
A small resort, with just 30 suites all offering the highest standards of luxury with direct access to the beach. Each suite has a private balcony or terrace, bathroom with whirlpool bath and sitting area with TV, CD and DVD player. The Pool Suites also have an outdoor private plunge pool. The large Thorneycroft Suite comes with its own large swimming pool and is ideal for an extra special romantic break.
One of the hotel's unique guest benefits is breakfast which is served on your patio each morning. Guests are also served, a fruit platter or fruit punch served on the beach each morning, afternoon tea served in the main bar and evening cocktail canapés delivered to all suites. There is a weekly Managers cocktail party. Hotel facilities include a large swimming pool & sun terrace, no-motorised watersports, floodlit tennis court, small boutique, television lounge and internet facilities.
For guests who wish to dine in the resort, an à la carte lunch is available at the open-air beach bar and reservations can be made for dinner to dine in the only Gary Rhodes restaurant outside the UK.
Nestled on the cliff side adjacent to the resort, the Heaven and Earth spa offers a truly holistic experience. A variety of healthe and beauty treatments are available including aromatherapy, massage, body scrubs and reiki.
Complimentary non motorised watersports are available on the beach. The local SCUBA diving school offers packages for novice and experienced divers. Guests have use of the tennis courts and fully equipped gym.
Children 16 and under welcome. Dinner for children under 6 is served early and they are not allowed in the bar or restaurant after 7pm. Babysitters are available (local charge).
The resort normally closes for a short period each year. Calabash will close on Thursday 12th August 2010 and reopen on Wednesday 6th October 2010.
