La Sagesse is a grand old colonial style manor house, family owned and managed with only 12 rooms in the Great House and a small cottage with two rooms in the grounds. A romantic hideaway only steps away from the sea, overlooking a dramatic crescent-shaped beach in an area famed for its wildlife and nature trails.

All 12 Great House rooms are located only 30 feet from the beach, with fully screened windows, and private bathrooms with shower. All rooms have either a queen size or king size bed, ceiling fans but no air-conditioning and whilst fairly simple they are spacious and comfortable. Daily maid service, laundry and ironing service, tea kettles and hair dryers available on request, all rooms have mini-bars.

The Manor House, which was built by the infamous Lord Brownlowe, still retains its original grandeur with high ceilings and a front porch surrounded by beautiful gardens. A casual open air bar/restaurant is open all day serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, located on the beach the emphasis is on fresh-caught seafood and Caribbean cuisine and serves the freshest of food in an idyllic setting.

On the beach there are kayaks for guests to explore the secluded bay. If you enjoy snorkeling there's small coral snorkeling reefs at the mouth of the bay and for those who enjoy nature and bird watching, the owners will arrange guided walks to help you explore.

At one end of La Sagesse beach is a salt pond fringed with mangroves, and a river outlet cools the water of the cove. The area has been designated a preservation area. La Sagesse is a laid-back hideaway which really is off the beaten track. Ideal for romantics and couples of all ages looking for peace and quiet in a relaxing atmosphere. If you enjoy strolling along a stunning deserted palm-fringed beach at sunset in un spoilt surroundings then look no further than La Sagesse.

Only 25 minutes from the capital, St George's and Grand Anse. A romantic hideaway for a Grenada holiday.
