Things to consider when you're searching for last minute Caribbean holidays

Luxury, Caribbean last minute deals and late deals, do exist and 4 and 5 star luxury resort like LaSource Grenada, or the St Kitts Marriott Resort are very popular, but you should still expect to pay for what you're getting. So don't hold your breath for a two week luxury late deal in a 5 star resort for the same price as a 3 star, because it simply will not happen.

Typically last minute deals give best value if book 6 weeks to 14 days in advance of your travel date. This will give you more choice and availability. So start looking a bit earlier and decide what kind of holiday and where in the Caribbean you'd like to visit.

If you want the freedom of self catering holiday, then most resorts of this nature are smaller so you may not get that deal if you leave booking till the very last minute.
Single travelers looking for a relaxing Last Minute Caribbean holiday or a luxury spa and pampering retreat, can be assured of great holiday offers throughout the year. Family holidays can offer excellent value as some hotels will allow the child age to be 16 which provides great discounted family holidays when you are travelling with teenagers and older children. The Almond Resorts in St Lucia and the Almond Beach Village in Barbados offer a full range of children's activities, nurseries and kids clubs.
Ideally if you are set on your travel dates, then try to be more flexible on your choice of island. Some of the smaller islands, like Saint Kitts, have only two direct flights a week from the UK. Saint Kitts is becoming increasing more popular whilst the island still remains quiet and idillic.

If you want to travel specifically during peak travel periods like Christmas, half term, Easter or over a Bank holiday weekend, waiting for a late deal can cost you a lot more money as availability becomes limited and flights go quickly. If you want to travel at peak times, it's best to always book slightly earlier, even a month or so in advance. When booking a holiday for Christmas time to the Caribbean, try and be as flexible on your dates as possible. The early return flights at the beginning of January, when work, school or other commitments are important for everyone, are always popular and rarely available if you try to book late.
