Holiday sale - Summer discounts at Almond Morgan Bay

Almond Morgan Bay occupies 22 acres set around a curving sandy beach with rooms spread through beautiful tropical gardens that encircle the main resort facilities. The hotel is just a few miles north of the capital, Castries and the attractions of the popular Rodney Bay area are only 10 minutes away by taxi or local bus. Airport transfers take approximately 70 minutes.

The resort offers a wide array of facilities and amenities that make it very popular with families and couples alike. Four gourmet restaurants, offer a choice of dining styles. The Palms features an international menu while the waterside Bambou restaurant presents a fusion of Asian-Caribbean cuisine. Morgan's Pier is a lovely seafood restaurant reaching out over the sea and Le Jardin is an adults only restaurant serving French-Creole dishes (dinner sevice only). Reservations are recommended for dinner at all restaurants. No children under 16 years allowed in the adults only Jardin Restaurant. Four bars, serving premium-brand drinks as part of the all-inclusive package, include the lively main bar where there are nightly live entertainment with floor shows.

Four swimming pools, one adults only and two designated within the kids' club area are all set in the beautifully landscaped gardens. Down at the beach there is a good selection of non-mototrised watersports including windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, plus banana-boat rides and water-skiing (with instruction). Tennis players will appreciate the hard surface floodlit courts.

Golf: Free green fees and complimentary shuttle to the St Lucia Golf & Country Club, located nearby. Limited to 3 free 18 hole rounds per person per stay, excludes golf cart, balls, bags and tees. Important: Almond Resorts will no longer be offering the 3 rounds of golf for stays from from 1 Jan 2011.

The resort has a well equipped fitness centre and beauty salon offering a wide range of treatments, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures (all spa treatments payable locally). Adults also have their own peaceful areas, with child-free pools. At the main reception area guests can browse in the giftshops and boutiques and internet access is available (payable locally).

The free kids' club caters for all ages from newborn babies up to teenager with fully equipped activity centres. Age groups: Nursery, newborn to 30 months (9am-5pm). Mini Club, 31 months - 4.5 years (9m-5pm). Kids Club, 4.5 -7 years and 8-12 years (9am-10pm). Teen Centre, 13 years and over (9-5pm). Child care after 5pm, for children under 5 years, babysitting can be arranged in resort (payable locally), maximum of 3 children per family.

In our opinion, Almond Morgan Bay offers good quality all round and a comprehensive all inclusive programme popular with both couples and families. Alternativey see offers at the Almond Smugglers Cove, another family friendly resort with a 100 foot waterslide.

All rooms have a balcony or terrace, air conditioning, satellite TV, tea-coffee maker, fridge, safe, iron and ironing-board, and hairdryer. Rooms have either king bed or two double beds, sleeping a maximum of 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children. Non-smoking rooms on request. Superior Deluxe Ocean View Rooms only sleep a maximum of 2.

The spacious One Bedroom Ocean View Suites are set on the hillside overlooking the resort, and have a bedroom and adjoining living room with spectacular ocean views. One bedroom suites sleep 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 children.

DRESS CODE: Elegantly casual for the evenings with collared shirts and long trousers – no beach shorts or T-shirts. Gentlemen cannot wear vests for breakfast or lunch.
