Almond Smugglers Cove is a village-style resort which is particularly well-suited for families. The hotel is set in a 60 acre plantation beside a lovely beach at Cap Estate on the northern tip of St Lucia. The capital, Castries is about 30 minutes away and the shopping and attractions of Rodney Bay is only a 15 minute taxi ride away. Airport transfer time is 90 minutes.
There are plenty of dining choices and the four gourmet restaurants offer a choice of delicious cuisine. The Cove is a continental-style restaurant serving and international menu. La Trattoria is a casual Italian eatery and the Waterside Grill specializes in seafood restaurant. Cafe Enid's is an adults-only restaurant serving French Creole dishes - open for dinner only. Reservations are required for dinner at all restaurants. In addition, guests enjoy a discount at the nearby Great Hose restaurant. There are five bars including a swim-up bar in the adults pool serving premium brand drinks, and there is evening entertainment daily plus a weekly manager's cocktail party.
There are six swimming pools spread around the beachfront and gardens, with one for adults only, one children’s pool with a 100 foot-long waterslide. And so many activities to choose from; floodlit tennis and fitness gym at the Raquet Club, beach volleyball, table tennis, squash and two childrens playgrounds. Down at the beach there are non-motorised water sports; sailing, snorkelling, kayaks, windsurfing and water-skiing. A Spa at the Raquet Club offers a wide range of treatments, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures (treatments payable locally). FREE Wi-Fi in lobby.
Golf: Free green fees and complimentary shuttle to the St Lucia Golf & Country Club, located nearby. Limited to 3 free 18 hole rounds per person per stay, excludes golf cart, balls, bags and tees. The free kids' club caters for all ages from newborn babies up to teenager with fully equipped activity centres. Age groups: Nursery, newborn to 36 months (9am-5pm). Mini Club, 3 - 6 years (9m-5pm). Kids Club,7 - 12 years and Teen Centre, 13 - 16 yeras (9-5pm). Child care after 5pm, for children under 5 years, babysitting can be arranged in resort (payable locally).
The recently refurbished rooms are located in single storey buildings spread around the tropical gardens or overlooking the sea. All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, tea-coffee maker, iron and ironing board, bathroom with tub and shower and hairdryer. Standard Rooms have one king-size bed and sleep three adults or two adults and one child. Deluxe Garden View Rooms have vaulted ceilings and sleep three adults or two adults and one child. Superior Deluxe Garden View Rooms are in a quiet hillside location near the Raquet Club and Superior Deluxe Beachfront Rooms close to the beach or on Smugglers Cove, both sleep two adults only. One Bedroom Suites have a spacious separate bedroom and living area, sleeping up to four adults, or two adults and three children. Child ages 0 - 16 years old.
Summer 2010 Family Offer: Upto 3 kids stay and eat free when parents book a One Bedroom Suite, or one of the new Family Suites. Family Suites have 2 bedrooms (interconnecting rooms) and 2 bathrooms and sleep up to 2 adults and 3 children. Please call for our best prices.
